UPCOMING WORK
Rook's Theatre and Same Boat return with a new co-production:
ART
written by Yasmina Reza
translated by Christopher Hampton
Serge, Marc and Yvan have been friends for years. Serge has just bought a painting. It's white. White with fine diagonal lines. He's paid a lot of money for it. Marc thinks it's garbage. Serge thinks Marc is a snob and an enemy of progress. Yvan is getting married in two weeks and is freaking out.
Winner of the 1996 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1996 Olivier Award for Best Comedy, Art stars Aaron Joel Craig, Adam Lemieux and Michael Rode in an intimate production directed by Stephanie Hope Lawlor.
Following sold-out productions of Ibsen's A Doll's House and Shakespeare's Hamlet, Rook's and Same Boat are excited to bring Reza's brilliant comedy about friendship, middle age and what happens when men can't tell each other they love each other to Hamilton this autumn.
'ART' is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.
