Same Boat Theatre is excited to announce the second season of our play-reading series.

This year, alongside readings of some established work, we are opening submissions to new works from playwrights. The series will take place from Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 with readings taking place at Last Supper Books in downtown Hamilton on Monday evenings.

At this time, we are looking for one-act plays (30-60 min) with limited cast sizes of 1-4 characters. We do not require a finished script for application, and will accept one scene along with a play synopsis. In addition to handling Box Office, we will also offer playwrights professional feedback on their scripts.

Please note that we are working to secure project funding, however, it is not guaranteed. Any remuneration will come from Box Office earnings along with additional donations to the company and series, and will go to pay participating playwrights and performers for the reading.
